"Mehhhhh" and a Mission: Eddie Liang
He starts every Monday with a "Mehhhhh 🐏" that echoes through our Science Park campus and through Lower Secondary students, who now mimic him. But Eddie Liang is no joke. His mission? A Double Degree in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering.

Is there a memory, phrase, place, or moment at AISG that feels like "shared language"?
"Mehhhhh 🐏"

Why does that memory stick with you?
I've made the "Mehh 🐏" sound every Monday morning during my morning announcements for the past two years. This memory sticks with me because I find it fascinating how teachers tell me the little kids in Lower Secondary make the sound when I make my announcement.

What was one challenge you faced during your university application process? How did you work through it?
I struggled with finding a school and major that truly reflected my aspirations. Letting go of the use of rankings to judge a school allowed me to find a place that fit me best.

What advice would you give to current students?
Balancing your workload from the IBDP program with IAs and EEs while creating a compelling applicant profile can be extremely demanding, making college application season one of the most important and stressful times of your academic journey. I have two key tips: 1. Know yourself and what is most important to you. 2. Follow your own schedule and do what makes sense for you.

Describe your next chapter in three words.
Fun, fun, fun!

Eddie’s extracurriculars, activities, awards, etc. at AISG:
Heart To Heart (22-26)
Varsity Volleyball (22-26)
Varsity Soccer (23-24, 26)
Athletics and Activities Council (23-26)
Debate Club (23-26)
Student Council (23-25)
National Honor Society (24-26)
Peer Tutoring (24-26)

"Mehhhhh 🐏" got him noticed. But knowing himself got him accepted. Eddie leaves behind a sound, a schedule, and a simple truth: rankings don't define you. Next stop? Fun, fun, fun.
